This program offers five levels of instruction:

Level 1 (formerly Foundations)
Level 2 (formerly Pre-intermediate)
Level 3 (formerly Intermediate)
Level 4 (formerly Advanced)
Level 5 (formerly English for Academic Purposes)

You will be placed in one of these levels based on the results of your IELTS Academic, TOEFL (iBT) or Duolingo scores. (View admission requirements for details.)

The EAP program encourages classroom interaction. You will work on group projects and assignments that require interaction with your peers and in the community. You will practice speaking, listening, reading, pronunciation and writing in a classroom and in labs. You will also learn to do presentations, research topics, take notes and write texts in English.

Prerequisites:*	These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent. OR At least 19 years old by the first day of classes.
Additional Admission Requirements:	You will be placed in your ESL level based on your English Language Placement Test results from one of the following options: The iTEP Placement Plus Test OR Your valid IELTS (Academic), TOEFL (iBT) or Duolingo score. (You will be placed in an ESL level based on your lowest individual skills score. Tests are valid for two years from the test date to the start of class.)
